I start my normal day in Bengaluru with exercise, have my breakfast and go to my desk for straight 8 hours with my laptop screen on and in the background music, children’s voices and chores of the day change seasons. While every time I think of travelling to different parts of India, I find a curious place looking out for me as well; and then suddenly in the heat of the moment – Magic happens and we unite.
In this unison, my partner is Coorg this time. I want to see and discover it from North to South and East to West. But Coorg is not easy given that it’s a tourist destination and its admirers are many. I wanted to find a spot away from all the nuisance, closer to nature where I can know this place better. And accidentally I was able to discover such a place – Open, beautiful, cool, low maintenance – what else I could have wanted from my partner. I got stuck and certainly, I was getting this feeling after so many days. I rested there silently, settling myself.
After some time as I stand up at the window, I look down – I see homes, evening smoke, voices but as I look beyond, a strange feeling overpowers me, a chill runs down my spine, how imprudently I have tainted my eyes, I cannot see far, it feels strange. I turn around, gasp and live this moment of awe.
It’s just a place but it feels so close as if I was always here but never looked up to catch its sight.
