Whether AI is going to eat up our jobs as Writers, was a question I got asked the most. There were multiple periods in my life when I had different answers. But all confused ones.

As this new year begins, it has dawned on me new realizations and some solid reasoning. From ages, we see, we humans are great innovators and adaptors. Many worst calamities occurred, but we survived all. So far, we have been successful in doing this, calling ourselves homo sapiens for a reason.

As writers (or in general artists), we don’t just create art of the existing things. We create it from the non-existing too, and connect dots, in ways unimaginable. A machine doesn’t have emotional competence and creates things only from the known. And even if machines develop sentience, we will innovate; we will adapt.

In the end, it’s not just about writing for a job; writing is an expression. So, without the fear of losing job, I write.

I write for the essence of it.
I write to get lost.
I write to find myself.
I write to you.
I write for the love of life.
I just write.

Reading through, you might be wondering if this was written by a machine or me! Well, I will leave it to you to figure out.
