Travel

People often ask travellers, “Why do you go to the mountains frequently?” I incessantly think about how mountains stand unbothered. Whether the tectonic plate movement or lava burst, they have passed the test of time with bright colours (literally): Notice that the slopes that emanate with life presently were once barren? Mountains just existed; life got attracted to them. It is this simplicity that brings me to the mountains.

Personal Stories

Excerpt from one of my personal stories:

They say, “death is beautiful”. I realised it is. I am talking about shooting stars. I have never seen something like that— a star breaking open and emitting white light on the way before dying, as if one last time, they want to look the adorable. In the background, there is white light that is celebrating the whole scenery by being suspended in the dark black ocean: clapping, dancing and twinkling. It left me tickling in the stomach.

As much as I endured nature, my body refused to get lost in the nothingness of sleep: It wanted to ask the most stupid questions, stay awake in the gorgeous night, and carry all of it home.

Itineraries

Excerpt from SCUBA Diving in Netrani Itinerary

Underwater is so tranquil that a soul venturing once is bound with it forever. Scuba Diving rushes a seeker to the unknown depths and reveals truths about mother earth. Life emanates in oceans; it is peaceful as heaven, and inside, hundreds of uninterrupted, noiseless beings are busy with their chores. Some fish move from point A to B, others lie close to their shelter, and the mating season is ‘ON’ for others. There are camouflaging sea creatures; then there are ones which look friendly and inviting. You will only be able to figure out what is happening if you stay and observe closely.

Guides

Excerpt from one of my Guides:

Ladakh invites droolers to seek its concealed secrets, jagged peaks, camouflaging monasteries, and cultures stuffed into the mainstream life of locals. For travellers who want a little extra out of place, this list will give you every spice you are searching for in Ladakh.

Apart from the yellows of the cold desert, you will likely witness Ibex and Bactrian camels, along with hot sulphur springs that have been boiling for ages. You can stop, stay, or move as and when you wish. As Tibet Autonomous Region borders Ladakh to the east, and Himachal Pradesh in India to the South, hints of influence from both places mark this land of high passes.
